The Health Insurance Fund provides health insurance to low-income groups in Afric. The first project was launched in Nigeria in early 2007 and implemented by Hygeia, supported by PharmAccess.
This film shows the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of the Health Insurance Fund program in Nigeria by an evaluation team of PharmAccess.
PharmAccess is a Dutch not-for-profit organization supporting general health care in eveloping countries and responsible for the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Hygeia Community Health Plan (HCHP). PharmAccess developed a method to evaluate the performace of a clinic in its operational aspects. In close collaboration with all parties involved, upgrading plans are developed and implemented.
The first part of the film shows how the M&E team works in Lagos. In the second part it becomes clear what the role of the HCHP is and how the clinics and communities benefit from this program.
