Entire village has health insurance

A delegation of the Health Insurance Fund board and management and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs witnessed, quite unexpectedly, the success of the Health Insurance Fund Program (the Hygeia Community Health Program) in Kwara State. The delegation travelled to one of the participating clinics in Ilorin, when their bus had a flat tire in the village Tseduko. While the bus driver fixed the tire, the delegation met with the population of the village. As it turned out, almost the entire population of Tseduko had enrolled in the Hygeia Community Health Program. All of them were proud to show their insurance id-cards to the delegation.
